Welcome to Dr. Ricardo Herrera, Associate Professor at the University of Chile!  He will be on sabbatical here at the University of Illinois as a Visiting Scholar and Adjunct Associate Professor for six months.  Prof. Herrera has research and teaching interests related to analysis, behavior and design of steel and steel-concrete composite structures, large-scale experimental study of structures, earthquake engineering and seismic protection systems.  During his stay, he will be conducting research and teaching a new graduate course, Nonlinear Analysis of Steel Structures (CEE 598 NAS).
