Purpose of the project – Develop an ultra-lightweight and ultra-efficient inverter (take DC (direct) voltage and current and create AC (alternating) current and voltage) to drive a motor and propulsion fan for more-electric aircraft. We have demonstrated significant weight and loss reductions compared to the State-Of-The-Art by employing an unconventional topology, advanced cooling, and modern control schemes.
