Engineering Outreach Society

The Engineering Outreach Society (EOS) is a student-run organization that welcomes UIUC students of all majors to visit Leal Elementary School and Dr. Williams Elementary School in order to perform hands-on, engineering-inspired experiments with elementary school students. In the past, EOS members have also participated in volunteer events with the Boy Scouts of America, the Society of Women Engineers, and the Illini Society of Fire Protection Engineers. We give you the flexibility to volunteer as much or as little as you would like, but most members typically dedicate one hour a week to EOS volunteering. This organization is perfect for those who are looking for a fun and relaxed way of getting involved in STEM outreach.

Although, in-person volunteering has been put on halt due to Covid-19, we’re going to use different strategies to provide students with learning Engineering and Science projects via video platforms.
