Courtney is originally from North Carolina and started pursuing animal science through her high school’s FFA program. She became interested in swine production during her M.S. program while studying swine reproduction and piglet survival. Courtney was drawn to the Ellis Lab Program through her interest in piglet pre-weaning mortality.
