IGET in December: Active Learning Strategies – December 8 at 3PM in 1049 BIF

Want to get students more directly involved in the learning process? Want to address different student learning styles? Trying to reinforce important materials and concepts in a more engaging way? Not sure how to get started or what tools might help you out?

Our next Interest Group in Educational Technology (IGET) event for campus is coming up! Our focus will be on Active Learning and will feature Dr. Jose Vazquez, Clinical Professor in the Department of Economics and Director of the College of Liberal Arts and Science Teaching Academy, as well as Dr. Ava Wolf, eLearning Professional at the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning, both of whom have considerable experience with active learning and will frame our discussion. This is a great event for faculty and TAs, as well as those who support faculty and TAs.

Here’s the 411:

  • Who: All educational technology folks (faculty, staff, student, other) are welcome!
  • What: Third IGET event of the semester, focusing on active learning
  • When: Thursday, December 8 (Reading Day), 3:00-4:30 PM (stay as long as you’re able; add to Outlook)
  • Where: 1049 BIF (new location!) or Via Zoom

We hope to see you there!
