Hanna attended the American College of Physician’s Leadership Day and Internal Medicine national meeting this past week in Washington, DC. The American College of Physicians is a national organization for internal medicine physicians and medical students and is largest medical specialty organization in the US. Excitingly, her abstract titled “A scaffolding protein, IQGAP1, is crucial to protect the liver from injury” was selected as a poster finalist. Because of this she was honored as a Young Achiever at the meeting.
Even more excitingly, she was selected as a winner of the medical students basic research category!
