Welcome to the website of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s 28th Annual Environmental Engineering and Science Symposium!

Held each Spring semester, this Symposium gives graduate students in the Environmental Engineering and Science (EES) Program an opportunity to present their current research to the community of UIUC and its neighboring Universities. This year’s theme is Post Pandemic Sustainable Solutions”.

This year’s Symposium will be held at the Newmark Civil and Environmental Engineering (Yeh Student Center) and Ven Te Chow Hydrosystems buildings, Urbana, Illinois, in person.


For this year’s Symposium, we are delighted to host Prof. Randall Martin of WashU and Dr. Brian Shoener of Black & Veatch, as the keynote speakers.

EES AT UIUC

The Environmental Engineering and Science (EES) group within CEE at Illinois prepares students for the increasingly critical role of addressing the world’s challenges of air, land, and water pollution. Sustainable engineering practices for both developed and developing societies are the primary focus of the EES program.
