INTERVIEW PROCESS

During the interview, we will share information about our research before asking participants questions about the following topics:

  • Personal Background (e.g. How long have you lived in the area?)
  • Perceptions of Community Change (e.g. What things have you seen change in your community?)
  • Use of Open Space and Waterways (e.g. What are your favorite things to do outside in this community?)
  • Environmental Remediation (e.g. How would you rate the quality of the environment in this area?)

The interviews are semi-structured and take approximately 45-60 minutes. We invite interviewees to share any experiences or opinions that they believe will contribute to our understanding of change in your community, even if we do not directly ask a question about it. Interviewees are free to skip any questions that they do not want to answer.

Personally identifiable information from research participants’ interviews will not be shared without written permission. (You can download a copy of the permission forms that will be provided to all participants here: Release From Packet.)

If you have any questions regarding the types of questions you will be asked during an interview, please do not hesitate to contact us.
