Managing Resources

As far as elearning programs are regarded for business models, a college, department or school within the university which is self-funded is the model that I see fit best simply because this model is specifically used when necessary as opposed to being mandatory elearning which might not be as efficient in one department as in another. Specifically for my college, department or school within the university which is overhead-funded, is the most popular and has its strengths because majority of the program at the University are acclimated to this program creating a culturally sound learning environment.Updates to these programs might be the only challenge I see. One might become familiar with the program, and the next year, so many changes take place that make the program confusing and could hinder their learning abilities. The people is who the programs are for, the process should be catered to their learning capabilities, and the project should be ongoing and never ending so assure quality and sustainability.

When I used the term self-funded and mandatory, I simply mean that their are Lone Ranger models utilized that are not required within each department at institutions. When mentioned “My institution,” I was referring to the Lone Ranger model. I focus on this model primarily because most institutions work from a bottom-up standpoint.
