Boris Petracovici was one of the five recipients of the Campus Award for Undergraduate Teaching for the 1999-2000 academic year.

Sherban Lupu was honored by the Romanian Cultural Foundation in January 2001 for his efforts to promote Romanian music and culture internationally.

Ruxandra Costescu received the 2002 John W. Price Award for Volunteer Service to International Understanding from the University YMCA and the Cosmopolitan Club.
