PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
Dominika M. Pindus, Ph.D., M.S., M.A.
Dr. Pindus’s research interests focus on the effects of physical activity and sedentary behaviors on neurocognitive functions in children and adults. In her studies, she combines kinesiology and cognitive neuroscience techniques. Through her research, Dr. Pindus aims to understand (1) how individual differences in physical behaviors relate to neurocognitive functions in children, adolescents, and working-age adults, and (2) what mechanisms underpin these relationships. Dr. Pindus and her research team use this knowledge to develop and test interventions to restructure sedentary time and increase physical activity with the goal to improve cognitive and brain health.
