Food Science & Human Nutrition

Requirements:

All concentrations require an application and a meeting with the appropriate Advising Coordinator prior to submission of the application. Applications are due prior to the start of the early registration period for the subsequent term. In reviewing the applications, students’ academic history and professional interest are strongly considered.

  • Dietetics Concentration:
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Completion of  FSHN 101 or FSHN 120, or consent of Dietetics advisor.
    • Students must meet with Justine Karduck prior to application.
    • Required application
  • Food Science Concentration:
    • Minimum GPA of 2.5
    • Completion of FSHN 101 or consent of Food Science advisor.
    • Students must meet with Sihui Ma  prior to application.
    • Required application
  • Hospitality Management Concentration:
    • Minimum GPA of 2.5
    • Completion of FSHN 140 or FSHN 145 or consent of Hospitality Management advisor.
    • Documentation of 320 work hours in a food service if junior status.
    • Students must meet with Jill Craft prior to application.
    • Required application
  • Human Nutrition Concentration:
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Completion of FSHN 101 or FSHN 120 or consent of Human Nutrition advisor.
    • Students must meet with Susan Coppess prior to application.
    • Required application

Application Periods:
Completed applications must be submitted prior to the designated ICT period. Please review the College ICT website for the upcoming ICT processing dates and deadlines.
