(Photo of Michael Loui)I am a professor emeritus of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses. Collaborating with students and faculty colleagues, I conducted research in computational complexity theory, ethics in engineering and computing, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and engineering education. From 2012 to 2017, I served as the editor of the Journal of Engineering Education. From 2014 to 2019, I held the Dale and Suzi Gallagher Professorship in Engineering Education at Purdue University.
