8:00-8:15am Check-in (pick up name badge, brochure and refreshments)
8:15-8:45am Opening remarks followed by an overview of the University’s collaborative efforts in the area of local foods presented by faculty, staff and students
8:45-9:00am Introduction to design process on local food system
9:00am-12:00pm Implementation of design process in three phases: Discovery, Analysis and Action (with a break included)

Participants are expected to stay through the design process of the symposium. In this process all participants will work together to identify gaps in the local food system and create solutions to fill the gaps. There will be facilitators to help participants move through the design process.
