Look Up From Your Phone

This video delivers a message that I feel should hit home to everyone in today’s world: to look up from your phone, and instead be apart of the world right around you. It’s become easy for technology to become engrained in all aspects of our lives, and it affects how we interact with others in a (largely) negative way. Not only does the video tell a great story (I’ll refrain from the interesting twist halfway through), it also brings up a real issue that controls all of us. Being someone who enjoys writing poetry (particularly with catchy rhyming schemes), I was particularly drawn to how the rhyming narrative worked in this clip. Ever since watching this I’ve been thinking about how I use my phone when I’m around others, and it’s becoming a great feeling to put the phone aside.
