Thank you for visiting the Illini Journal of International Security’s (IJOIS) website! IJOIS is an academic journal that is published biannually through the University Library at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is sponsored by the Program of Arms Control & Domestic and International Security (ACDIS). The journal is comprised of exceptional undergraduate and graduate papers on topics related to international security or foreign affairs.  Our inaugural issue was released May 2016. We are currently recruiting authors of papers. If you have an old paper you would like to adapt or a topic you have always wanted to write please check out our submissions page and feel free to contact us with questions.

New Journal Issue

Our seventh issue of IJOIS is now available for viewing! This edition features papers from the Spring 2023 semester. The Covid-19 pandemic put an end to the publication of IJOIS, however, with the seventh issue we aim to restart the journal. We are currently compiling papers written in the Fall semester of 2023 and seek to restart the publication of our journals through the UIUC Library system.

Interested Outreach Liaisons 

We are interested in recruiting outreach liaisons for IJOIS from the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Illinois at Springfield to assist in recruiting submissions or blog posts from all University of Illinois campuses. If you are a student at either of these campuses and are interested in working with IJOIS or would like more information on what the position would entail please contact us at ijoisleadership@gmail.com.
