Back in January, Sarah and Kim worked with teens at the Champaign Public Library to create some stickers using the Silhouette cameo machine for their computer cart. Since then, the teens have made even more stickers. Sarah shared some pictures that we’d like to share with you!
About fargo2@illinois.edu
Finished project at CPL
One of the advantages of spending around 12 hours at our sites each week is that we are able to develop relationships with the students we work with. These relationships allow us to help the students work on projects that extend over multiple days. Sarah, over at Champaign Public Library, just sent a photo of […]
Valentine’s Day Card Making at UNCC
UNCC decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Friday the 13th with some special activities. One of our stations was using our graphic tablets to make Valentine’s Day cards. Based on time and ease of use, the kids used the open source software, PaintTool Sai, to create the cards. It’s a great program to just open […]

Kids as Teachers at the Champaign Public Library
Written by Sarah, the Community Ambassador at the Champaign Public Library One thing that I particularly like about Champaign is how willing the kids are to teach what they’ve learned. Technology and equipment added in 2014
One of our team members, Jeff Ginger, complied a report on the number of computers installed as well as additional technology placed at our sites from August until December 2014. Tinkercad at the Teen Open Lab
A teen (middle school aged) came into The Urbana Free Library’s Teen Open Lab one day looking to 3D print something.
