Collaborative Spaces Pilot

The Collaborative Spaces Pilot will create a number of new places for students to study, collaborate and gather.  This pilot will renovate spaces and study how differing combinations of lighting, location, furniture, acoustics, and technology contribute to a better student collaboration experience.  The evaluation data gathered during the pilot will be provided to campus space utilization projects and used in designing new spaces.

The Collaborative Spaces Pilot is funded by the Library/IT Fee.  A campus Advisory Group consisting of students and Illinois staff with space design expertise will solicit collaborative space ideas from campus and select the ones to be created.  More details about how to contribute study space proposals will be available soon.
