Biography

Zainab Hermes is studying her PhD in the Linguistics Department, and teaches the Arabic language during the academic year and intensive summer programs. She makes use of her background in engineering and her interest in the Arabic language in her current research on the acoustic and articulatory properties of pharyngeal and pharyngealized speech sounds in Arabic.
