Dr. Matthias Diener

Matthias Diener has been a postdoctoral research associate at XPACC, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, since January 2017. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from UFRGS, Brazil, and TU Berlin, Germany, in 2015. His research interest is the adaptation of large parallel applications to the underlying hardware environment by improving load balance and memory affinity. He is currently working on optimizing the XPACC computational kernels for many-core and GPU architectures.
