Dr. Seng Keat Yeoh

Seng Keat Yeoh was a postdoctoral research associate at XPACC, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, startingMay 2016. He received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, U.S.A., in 2015. For his dissertation, he worked on modeling the rarefied, two-phase plume of Enceladus, one of Saturn’s moon, using the direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method to understand the physics and source conditions of the plume. At XPACC, he is working on modeling laser-plasma interactions using the particle-in-cell (PIC) method. He has also worked on modeling the sheath regions of a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) actuator using PIC. His research interests include rarefied gas dynamics, plasma physics, planetary low-density plumes and atmospheres, kinetic theory of gases and computational physics.”
