About Us

The Strong Couples Project is a multi-state collaborative effort led by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and University of Illinois Extension. The project is designed to allow couples throughout the United States the opportunity to participate, for free, in one of the most scientifically-proven programs to help strengthen relationships.

The Strong Couples Project is affiliated with the Illinois United initiative led by Dr. Allen Barton, an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist at the University of Illinois. Illinois United is designed to provide a digital home for translational research focused on promoting the health and well-being of families throughout the state of Illinois and beyond.

The Strong Couples Project in Illinois is currently led by Michele Crawford, a Community Health Educator with University of Illinois Extension. For current Extension leadership in other states, please contact us at the email address listed at the bottom of this page.
