Study Visits

Screening: A short phone call and one laboratory visit.

1 x Baseline Visit: During this visit, you will have your body scanned on a DXA, and run (or walk) on a treadmill. You will also fill-in some questionnaires, wear an electroencephalography (EEG) cap, and complete cognitive tasks on a computer. An EEG cap looks like a swim cap with small sensors that record your brain’s reactions while you play computer games. In this video you can watch the steps previously describe and the corresponding materials we use

2 x Experimental Visits: During the lab visits, you will play simple computer games while wearing an EEG cap. Next, you will sit for three hours and engage in office work and read newspaper articles. You will be regularly breaking your sitting activities by either talking to researchers or walking on a treadmill. During the three hours when you sit, we will collect several blood samples from you. At the end of the sitting time, you will play the same computer games while wearing an EEG cap. You will also wear three small activity monitors between the visits. In this video you can watch the steps previously describe and the corresponding materials we use
