SOAR After-School Program at Garden Hills Elementary School

The SOAR after-school tutoring program is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to provide homework and reading help to Spanish-speaking students in grades 2-5 who are most in need of some extra support. SOAR operates from 3:00-4:00 p.m. every Tuesday through Thursday at Garden Hills Elementary School (2001 Garden Hills Rd., Champaign). Volunteers are asked to commit at least ONE day a week for the duration of the semester to work individually with a child and should be available from 2:45-4:15 on the day(s) they tutor.  Interested volunteers should contact Lila Moore at tutor@education.illlinois.edu or 217-265-4705 for additional information and/or to sign up for ONE of the following orientation sessions:
