Making the Virtual Classroom a Reality (Illinois Online Network, Univ. of Illinois)

The MVCR series of online faculty development courses, which has 8-week, 4-week, and 3-week course offerings, is designed to help faculty members acquire skills and knowledge needed to teach online. These courses cover a wide range of topics providing a firm foundation in many educational principles. Some MVCR courses for the beginning online instructor include: Online Learning: An Overview; Instructional Design for Online Course Development; and Blended – Hybrid Learning Design and Instruction. MVCR courses are available for free to all Univ. of Illinois faculty.
