Joe Mirabelli is a PhD student in the department of Educational Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before joining his current program, he earned an MS in nuclear physics at Indiana University in Bloomington and a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics at UIUC. His research interests include student mental health and wellness, retention in STEM programs, and academic mentorship.
