1. VISITING SCHOLARS/EXCHANGE STUDENTS – LIDARS TO OBSERVE AIR QUALITY AND ATMOSPHERIC PARAMETERS
Duties and Responsibilities: Measure atmospheric parameters and aerosol movements under stable conditions using aerosol and Doppler Lidars. Analyze measured data and/or simulate pollutant dispersion.
Required Education and Experience: PhD or MS in Atmospheric Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Experience in writing and/or publishing of manuscripts, data analysis, and programming. Preferred candidates need to have a strong background in engineering, atmospheric science, as well as extensive IT and programming skills.

2. VISITING SCHOLARS/EXCHANGE STUDENTS – USING DSSAT TO MODEL CROP GROWTH AND SET UP ONLINE TOO AND APPS
Duties and Responsibilities: The position is aimed to improve, calibrate and evaluate soil water and nitrogen flow and plant growth models (e.g., DSSAT), and/or calculate gas flux exchanges.
Required Education and Experience: PhD or MS in Atmospheric Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Experience in writing and/or publishing of manuscripts, data analysis, and programming. Preferred candidates need to have a strong background in engineering, atmospheric science, as well as extensive IT and programming skills.

3. VISITING SCHOLAR/STUDENTS/POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE – CORN CROP GROWTH, IRRIGATION, FERTILIZATION MODELING / AEROSOL TRANSPORT MODELING
Duties and Responsibilities: Measure and model plant growth and atmospheric gene flow. Analyze measured data and model results, and prepare written material for project reports, publications, and proposals.
Required Education and Experience: PhD in Atmospheric Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Experience in writing and/or publishing of manuscripts, dispersion modeling, and programming. Prospective candidates need to have a strong background in atmospheric dispersion modeling, as well as extensive IT and programming skills.
Location/Section: Center of Atmospheric Science at Illinois State Water Survey, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Proposed start date: open until suitable candidates are hired.
Salary: is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
