Group Meetings

ITE@UIUC holds meetings with invited speakers who are professionals and academic faculty members from various backgrounds to discuss about the state-of-the-art technologies used to enhance our transportation network. These meetings are excellent opportunities to expand your network and to gain more knowledge about the issues transportation engineers face.

Transportation Projects

To get a hands-on project-based experience for everyone, ITE@UIUC offers a great opportunity for everyone to get involved with transportation. Our team consists of Transportation Data Science, Infrastructure Design, Blog and more! Feel free to reach out to us if you would like to get involved with fun transportation projects!

Engineering Open House

Engineering Open House is the largest engineering exhibition event at UIUC where all engineering student organizations come to exhibit their hard work in projects or research-related works. All the team projects ITE@UIUC has been working on from Data Science, Infrastructure Design and more come together as one to proudly present at the Engineering Open House. Field Trips

We go to field trips to transit operation facilities to explore how our transit systems are controlled and operated. This is a great opportunity to meet people who work for public transportation systems to learn more about what is it like being a transit planner.

Engineering Council

The Institute of Transportation Engineers UIUC Chapter is a very proud committee member of the Engineering Council at UIUC. Members of ITE@UIUC do volunteer service for the UIUC community by collaborating with other engineering student organizations and attend meetings to promote diversity in transportation. Transit Sight Seeing

A group of transit fans enjoy taking pictures of various modal types and share with our transportation community! If you love taking pictures and making mosaics out of transit images, feel free to share photos of airplanes, buses, cars, trains, and more!

Traffic Engineering and Safety Conference

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering annually hosts the Traffic Engineering and Safety (TES) Conference. This two-day conference covers many professionals in the transportation community including ITS Midwest. This is a very crucial opportunity to network with transportation professionals and be exposed to various projects within the discipline.

Illinois Transportation and Highway Engineering Conference

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering annually hosts the Illinois Transportation and Highway Engineering (T.H.E) Conference. This two-day conference discusses the crucial technology and topics needed for sustainable highway and roadways systems. You will get to have an opportunity to network with many professionals in highway and roadway design!
