Sandage Social Media Lab / Brand Consults

The Sandage Social Media Lab in the Charles H. Sandage Department of Advertising in the College of Media is a department-run lab that provides integrated communications services to select clients in the Champaign-Urbana community. By participating in the Sandage Social Media Lab, advertising students receive hands-on digital marketing training, gain real-world experience and opportunities to develop their professional portfolios. The goal is to help businesses optimize their online presence while connecting expertly trained students with employers, facilitating real-world learning experiences and investments in homegrown talent.

During the 2022-2023 semester, 25 students facilitated 75 brand consults with 55 clients! Thank you for everyone who helped make the Brand Consults a success! We look forward to working with you!

Where does it meet?

The Sandage Social Media Lab has a residency is the Siebel Center for Design. During the academic year, the lab meets in Room 1070 (by the Fourth Street entrance) and online consults are available. A Teams Meeting Link will automatically be generated when you book your consult.

  • Mondays, Wednesdays, Friday: 9am – 3pm online and in-person
