Should you ever need help or advice, there are many resources available at UIUC for students. Most, if not all resources are supported by your tuition/annual fees. In other words, you are paying for all the listed services below whether or not you utilize them.

Culture & Community

Asian American Cultural Center provides the University of Illinois community with space to gather and share the diverse and rich cultures that are a part of the Asian American experience.

International Student and Scholar Services is committed to providing culturally sensitive services of the highest quality. The mission of the UIUC Salaam Middle East & North Africa Cultural Center is to inspire holistic student growth and development by fostering the development of intercultural citizens and global stewards through an inclusive and humanistic appreciation and understanding of a borderless Middle Eastern and North African peoples, communities, and cultures, defined by themselves for themselves outside of colonial-filtered narratives.

The Women’s Resources Center is responsible for improving the campus climate for women and developing and implementing programs that address women’s issues and gender-related concerns.

Health & Wellbeing

Many resources from the Office of the Dean of Students, including the Emergency Dean, Basic Needs (Food, Financial Assistance, Childcare, Healthcare, etc), as well as resources to identify another student who may need help with any of the mentioned issues.

Academic Support

As students of the University of Illinois, you are eligible to download many Adobe products on multiple devices – PC, Macs, Android phones, tablets, etc. Acrobat is especially recommended for students as it allows you to compile, take notes on, and edit PDFs. You will also be able to use the OCR function to make any text in the PDF searchable – even text in images.

Date Catalog populates all Moodle and Canvas assignment due dates in one convenient calendar. DateCat can be synced with Google Calendar or other agenda applications.

As students at the University of Illinois, you are eligible to download the entire MS Office Suite for free on to up 5 devices – PC, Macs, Android phones, tablets, etc. All of this is pre-paid by your student fees.

Use your NetId and password to log into Google docs, forms, etc. You will have to first activate this service by following the instructions at the link
