Assistants who are fluent or native speakers of Spanish who are in the Education program are needed to work with children.

Volunteers need to like working with children and be comfortable speaking only Spanish to them, even though the children are not native speakers of Spanish.  This program is a Spanish immersion setting.  Main responsibilities would be to help the students with their arts and crafts projects and any other classroom activities and help supervise during outdoor activities.  Summer camps are from June 3rd-Aug. 2nd and run a morning session (8:30am-noon) and an afternoon session (1:30-5pm).  The summer camps are help at University Primary School, 51 Gerty St., Champaign, IL 61820.  Take a look at the website for more info about the program in general and about the summercamps http://www.languageacademy.illinois.edu/summer_camps.html
