Jada Powell

Jada Powell is a first-year graduate student in Nutritional Sciences from the Greater Saint Louis area. She earned her B.S. in Integrative Biology with a minor in Art & Design from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2024. Her undergraduate research in Dr. Katy Heath’s lab explored microbial diversity in soybean foliar endophytes. She has ddPCR experience in human cell lines from interning with Millipore Sigma and worked as a Chemical Analyst at BioSTL post-graduation. In the Donovan lab, she studies gut microbiota in preterm infants and predictive algorithms for at-risk infants.
