Biography

Clare Hsu is originally from Taipei City, Taiwan where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy in 2019. During her time at NTU, she joined a functional animal product and meat science laboratory and assisted in studies about chicken liver hydrolysates and pea protein. She also worked in Dr. Maria Godoy’s companion animal nutrition laboratory as an undergraduate research assistant during her exchange semester at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In 2019, she moved to Champaign, Illinois to pursue her studies in Dr. Godoy’s laboratory with her research focusing on resistant starch in feline nutrition, protein sources and extrusion effects on protein quality in canine nutrition.
