Spotlight Review

Spotlight had some of my favorite actors in it, which attracted me to the movie. Mark Ruffalo and Rachel McAdams did an amazing job. The topic was very serious, abuse in the Catholic church is not spoken about often. It was surprising that some of these cases happened in Peoria, Illinois. I thought it was interesting watching the reporters use investigative journalism on screen, especially since this is a true story. I found the movie boring at some parts, I felt like it was longer than it needed to be. Overall, it was a good movie, especially if you’re interested in journalism or the cases mentioned in the movie.
