On Friday, October 27 SCAMS members congregated to have a Halloween party! This party included lots of pizza, candy, and decorations. We had fun playing games with candy corn as well as hosting a costume contest. It was nice to see everyone in costume attire!

October 21

SCAMS members visited the Curtis Orchard and Pumpkin Patch this past weekend! Some of the fun things we did involved picking pumpkins, as well as visiting the store to pick up apple donuts and apple cider! This was definitely a fun outing!

September 27-28

SCAMS teamed up with Volunteer Illini Projects in order to raise physical and monetary donations for victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma. To do this, members set up a booth on the quad and collected money, while explaining the severity of the situation down south in Houston and Florida.

August 31, 2017

Today we got together for our first official (informational) meeting of the year! We had a wonderful turnout of many interested weather enthusiasts who are excited to join the SCAMS community. After a brief presentation about the different roles and committees in SCAMS as well as discussion of the AMS Conference, new and old SCAMS members enjoyed some cupcakes and soda to start off the semester great.

Today we had a booth at the infamous UIUC Quad Day. SCAMS officers and members running the booth were able to talk extensively about the organization. Details about the first informational meeting are on the home page.
