CITES Virtual Hosting

CITES Virtual Hosting provides Virtual Computing resources to campus customers. By leveraging virtualization technologies we are able to make a small number of physical servers on the network function as if they are hundreds of individual servers. Some of the advantages of this technology are savings in electricity, cooling, physical space consolidation, and saving of physical network resources. Additionally, the technologies used make the virtual resources more resilient then a single physical resource would be.

We are providing Infrastructure server resources to our individual customers. Your purchased resources will be dedicated to your use, and you configure, delegate, and use them however needed. There are security models in place that keep your allocated resources secure and only accessible by you, preventing other users of the shared infrastructure access to your servers.
