This visual graphic represents 60% readiness level in a flow chart format that identifies four stages of design implementation. Those stages include:
- Develop
- Prototype and Test
- Demonstrate
- Transfer
The first two stages are complete as part of the 60% Readiness Level. Descriptions of the stages are as follows:
Develop Stage:
- Open-source implementation.
- Supporting graphical user interface (GUI).
- Open-Source ontology for describing device security capabilities & policies.
- Secure remote access method.
- Configuration tracking and audit mechanisms.
Prototype and Test Stage:
- Workable prototype staged as alpha and beta releases.
- Generic device access methods.
- Model device specific configuration modules.
- Provide basic audit reports.
- Implement all core and supporting functionality.
Demonstrate Stage:
- Test PBCONF in a demonstration environment using EPRI, Illinois, and Ameren testbeds.
- Ensure that implemented functionality performs as expected.
- Ensure that the system is operationally useful and deployable in the utility environment.
Transfer Stage:
- Iterate development as necessary with feedback from vendors and utility partners.
- Open-source release and technology transfer
