Log Your Steps

Instructions for logging your weekly steps:

  1. Log into go.illinois.edu/walkingchallenge your steps.
  2. On the Microsoft Forms login page, enter your University email address and hit either the Tab or Enter key.
    1. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will receive a popup login box where you will enter your NetID and password then click “OK”.
    2. If you are using Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge, you will be redirected to a new webpage where you will enter your University email address and password then click “Sign-in”.
  3. On the Walking Challenge Step Count webpage, enter the following pieces of information:
    1. Question 1: select the week you are entering your step count for from the dropdown menu
    2. Question 2: your WEEKLY step count.
    3. Your netID is automatically recorded
  4. Double check the information you’ve entered and click the Submit button. You must answer all questions before you will be allowed to submit the form. Upon successful submission, you will see the following message, “Thanks! Your response was submitted.”

A few things to remember:

      1. Track your daily steps on your own and log your weekly total on the Monday following the end of each week.
      2. Remember, you can convert general exercise to steps, or even every day activity like mowing the grass. Here is a link to the step converter page.
      3. This is the honor system, so please count only steps from the pedometer or activity converter, not both at the same time. No double counting!
      4. If you want your weekly steps to be counted in our weekly standings, you must submit them on the Monday following the competition week. If you don’t, you can still submit them but they may not be updated on our website.
      • Week 1 (6/3-6/09) submit 6/10
      • Week 2 (6/10-6/16) submit 6/17
      • Week 3 (6/17-6/23) submit 6/24
      • Week 4 (6/24-6/30) submit 7/1
      • Week 5 (7/1-7/7) submit 7/8
      • Week 6 (7/8-7/14) submit 7/15
      • Week 7 (7/15-7/21) submit 7/22
