What is the Transatlantic Educators Dialogue (T.E.D.)?

The Transatlantic Educators Dialogue (T.E.D.) provides an opportunity for educators in the United States and the European Union to come together online for shared exploration and examination of a variety of educational topics as they relate to issues of identity and difference, with a particular emphasis on representations of “the other” in the classroom.  This experience of educational diplomacy and exploration from multiple perspectives will enable educators to overcome cultural misunderstandings and misconceptions.  T.E.D. is sponsored by the European Union Center and the College of Education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Why participate in T.E.D.?
1.  Way to communicate live with other educators in the U.S.A. and Europe about contemporary issues and challenges in education
2.  Share about your own teaching environment and classroom experiences
3.  It’s free to participate in T.E.D.

4.  Excellent opportunity for professional development

5.  Opportunity to earn 30 contact hours of CPDUs/CEUs and/or graduate credit hours through the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Education
