Discovery seats still available in Urban Planning

We still have seats available in our two Discovery courses being offered this fall, including our new UP 199-SH: Researching Historically Black Neighborhoods.  Students will learn highly useful research skills and meet neighborhood activists in Champaign’s North First Street neighborhood, in addition to learning about broader issues that shape neighborhood such as migration, segregation, and revitalization.  Thus far, we only have 7 enrolled, so we need at least 3 more to keep this one going.  I would really hate not to be able to offer this one!

UP 199 KS:  Human Rights and the City has been offered for several years, and has been very well received by majors and non-majors.  The focus is on city spaces as places of social interaction and exchanges between different groups.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  I would be more than happy to tell you more about these fabulous freshmen courses.
