I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Government at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. I received my Ph.D. in Agricultural & Applied Economics from the University of Illinois.
My research interests include Economic Development, Labor Markets, Economics of Education, and Applied Econometrics. I am particularly interested in exploring how institutions and public policies affect schooling and labor market decisions, understanding informal labor markets, and the causes and consequences of poverty and inequality. Most of my work focuses on developing countries, with an emphasis on Latin America.
