I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Government at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. I received my Ph.D. in Agricultural & Applied Economics from the University of Illinois.
My research interests include Economic Development, Labor Markets, Economics of Education, Violence and Citizen Security. I am particularly interested in exploring how institutions and public policies affect schooling and labor market decisions, understanding and improving the school-to-work transition, and studying the causes and consequences of violence on well-being. Most of my work focuses on developing countries, mainly in Latin America.
