Walkthrough the tutorial

Go to popcorn.webmaker.org
If you have Firefox, you should use it. Both made by Mozilla.

Click ‘Take a tutorial’

Press play to get started

1st pause:

  • Open EVENTS tab
  • Drag an event (say an image) to the canvas area (not the timeline)

 

2nd pause:

  • Click on event in timeline
  • Edit event options to the right
  • change Single Image to Flickr
  • Change ‘search for tag’ to Popcorn (or whatever you like)

Media:  This is important, when Popcorn was first created, it allowed only one media file to be the core of the project. Now many clips can be used in the same project.

Finish up

  • Sign In to Save
  • Create a Mozilla Persona account
    • So you can save your projects
  • Change the name of the project
  • Save the project

Creating  your own

  • Start with a video (such as the awesome example: http://youtu.be/J4G8t4ThoqE)
  • Open up Popcorn Maker (popcorn.webmaker.org)
    • Make sure you are logged in
  • Start a New Project
  • Use this video as “Media”
  • Add “Events”
  • Save and Share your Project Video
