They call us “Undocumented illegal immigrants.”
My poem is about my race. I am Mexican and many people see us as illegal immigrants. Ever since the 2016 Presidential Elections, there have been many racial comments. More specifically, many racial comments about Mexicans. President Donald Trump wants to build a wall to “Make America Great Again” by not letting Mexicans get through. “The Invisible Knapsack” article, provides endless examples of white privilege. One of the examples given is, ” I will feel welcomed and “normal” in the usual walks of public life, institutional and social.” This is an example of white privilege because it’s an action in which white people do not have to take precautions about compared to others.
