Biography

Jessica Kress is a research engineer at XPACC. She is working on enhancing the testing capabilities for XPACC’s simulation code, PlasComCM. Specifically, she is developing testing methods for verifying the results of optimized code. Prior to her work with XPACC, she was a research engineer at Illinois Rocstar LLC. Her technical expertise includes the implementation of a three-dimensional incompressible flow solver and work with existing large-scale computational fluid dynamic codes. She has knowledge of grid construction and adaptation as well as development of parallel algorithms. She earned a B.S. in Mathematics in 2009 from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and an M.S. in computational engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2012.
