Caroline Winters

Biography

Caroline Winters is a PhD candidate at the Ohio State University.  She studies the effect of nanosecond pulsed plasma discharges on combustion radical production.  Using ns-LIF, ns-TALIF, cw-TDLAS, and Rayleigh scattering, she measures absolute [OH], [H] and [O], [Ar*], and temperature, respectively.  Her work is used to assess the predictive capabilities of existing kinetic mechanisms of low-temperature fuel oxidation chemistry.  She previously earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2011.
