Ben Shields

Ben Shields is a Masters student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, working with Prof. Carlos Pantano. Within XPACC, he is developing a general edge flame eigenvalue solver. The objective of this project is to construct a general edge flame library solver for turbulent combustion modeling.

Ben obtained a BS in Engineering Physics from Illinois State University, and a BS in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. At ISU, he worked with the Intense Laser Physics Theory Unit on computational modeling of quantum mechanical effects.
