About Shannon Callahan
I am an undergraduate student in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Science at the University of Illinois (expected to graduate in May 2020). I study Natural Resources and Environmental Science, concentrating in Resource Conservation and Restoration Ecology. I plan on specializing in forest ecology research by continuing my education in graduate school. Since forest conservation starts with the public, a great way to get involved is through deer management. Working at the Chronic Wasting Disease Laboratory has given me the opportunity to be at the forefront of research and write articles to further the public’s understanding of resource conservation.
