Landscape Change

Each Plot map represents a collection of plants growing in a specific location around Yalbac. Plots were selected based on location (near or distant from settlement) and for lack of modern disturbance. Each number on the maps represents a separate plant species, of which a collection was made and is in the process of being identified. The preliminary idenfications of the plants are documented below, organized by (1) Collection Number, (2) Genus, and (3) Use, as documented through Cleofo Choc, my Mopan Maya field assistant.
