Research in our group focuses on population and behavioral ecology, primarily focusing on birds and often emphasizing conservation-priority species.  Our research includes both applied and basic elements, including aspects of habitat use, demography, reproductive and migration ecology, and long-term population trends.  Much of our work involves working closely with natural resource agencies as well as collaborating with other research groups at the University of Illinois and elsewhere.
