Biography: Sunyu is native of Seoul, Korea. She completed her B.S. in Chemistry from University of California, Berkeley. Thereafter, she joined University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for her doctoral studies in inorganic chemistry and subsequently joined Snyder group in Fall 2025. She is currently working on characterizing active sites of co-cation modified Cu zeolites using various spectroscopic techniques. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends, watching musicals, taking photos, and listening to music.
